Many boaters are also members of the local boat clubs that you can join to add to your boating experience and make new friends that love to boat. Below are the three closest clubs and we encourage everyone to find one club to join.

ElbaMar Boat Club

Sunseekers Boating Club

Ford Yacht Club

Elizabeth Park marina has no boat club affiliation but most boaters that dock there are members of at least one of the clubs listed above. The park and marina are located along the banks of the Detroit River and feature over 1,300 feet of river walk for fishing and river watching. It’s a great place to stop between Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair. Elizabeth Park Marina and Boat Launch provide four launching and four loading wells and a 52-slip mooring facility. The facility has a utility hookup, a pump station, and a shower facility. The marina was built in 1993 through an Urban Waterways Grant.

Visiting and seasonal boaters can enjoy several excellent restaurants a short walk into town. In addition, Elizabeth Park also offers activities such as softball, cycling, in-line skating, a stake board park, and hiking. There are two picnic shelters, one ball diamond, and two picnic areas available for rental located at this park just outside of the marina. You can bring your children on the weekends for a pony ride or a stroll along the shoreline. We encourage you to attend the special events at Elizabeth Park, such as “Somewhere in Time”, where you can take a stroll back in time to the late 1920’s or “Jazz on the River”, where you can sit on the river and listen to the best music in town.
